Are you between 15 and 25 and want to learn or improve your portrait painting skills?
Explore the world of Art through Portrait sessions
The Yankalilla, Rapid Bay & Myponga Agricultural & Horticultural Society inc (commonly known as the Yank Show) has an exhibit called the Yankabald Art Prize (after the Archibald art prize, which is an Australian portrait art prize for painting, generally seen as the most prestigious portrait prize in Australia!) To encourage entries into this class, the District Council of Yankalilla is funding some portrait lessons with local art teacher and artist Judith Sweetman.
The classes will include all instructions and materials. Participants need to bring an A4 photocopy of the person they want to paint. A photocopy is acceptable. This person must be a local to the region!
There are two options for workshops, you can choose to attend
x3 sessions running across three Mondays from 2:30pm - 4pm (September 11th, 18th & 25th) noting that all three sessions are to be attended.
OR
A one off session on a Sunday afternoon on September 24th from 1pm- 4:30pm
